They just released a new ruler called the Scrap Crazy 6 ruler. It makes 6 1/2" unfinished, 6" finished scrappy blocks but there are a lot of different ways you can mix and match this ruler.
Scrappy block - check!
Nifty pointy tips - check!
Half Hexies in 2 sizes - check!
Equilateral triangles in two sizes - check!
At first I thought why on Earth would I need such a thing other than that it's a ruler and I'm a ruler addict? Well... They also released a book (which is on back order for me - arrive already!!) that has a bunch of different quilts in it but you can watch their YouTube video and get the idea of how this set works and you probably don't really need the book. I've already paid for mine or else I'd just say skip it.
This will be for sale eventually although I have to admit that I'm having a hard time considering letting it go.
I wish the picture did it justice but it just doesn't. It does have a light yellow background. That makes all of the stars really pop and it's something a bit different than the black, off white or white backgrounds that I usually work with.
So in conclusion, this is an awesome ruler. I give it two crafty thumbs up. I'm glad I bought it.
Next ruler to review? Most likely Creative Grid's Curvy Log Cabin ruler which also arrived in my craft room the same day this one did. I'm itching to try that one out next!!
